Run or Walk to Remember on September 4
The 3rd Annual World Trade Center Run to Remember (WTCRTR) will be a celebration of the lives of those lost on September 11, 2001. This event will offer a great opportunity for all people who were affected by the events of 9-11 to come together to remember each victim, while running, or walking, around beautiful Governors Island, in the heart of New York Harbor.
Every runner or walker will be able to personalize their running bib to identify whom they’re running, or walking, to remember (see sample bibs above). The event organizers ask for your participation to ensure there’s a runner/walker for each person lost on 9-11. When registering for the event online, choose from the list of victims, and other personalized information, to design the custom bib(s) of your choice.
We will pay tribute to the heroic first responders, while at the same time recognizing that there were many heroes that day, and the days that followed — and each and every victim will be remembered with equal importance.
